The mangosteen tree (Garcinia mangostana), which is native to Asia, bears tomato-sized, purple fruit with a delicate sweet-acidic flavour. But that’s not the only reason why the mangosteen has many connoisseur fans: it is also rich in bio-active polyphenols, i.e. secondary plant substances that are produced by the plant itself as colouring agents, aromatics and flavourings. Mangosteen, for example, is a natural source of xanthones - aromatic compounds that belong to the group of flavonoids. Mangosteen Drink makes a tasty, valuable contribution to a well-balanced, varied diet.
